Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had another lovely week with some sunshine too! On Wednesday we had a visit from Neil Swait, our School Improvement Adviser, and Lucy Ratcliffe, Head of Witheridge School. The children were incredibly well-behaved, engaged in their learning and working hard. A small group of children were chosen to talk about our school, and they answered questions sensibly and clearly. Well done to all of our children for showing just what Brayford Academy is all about.
The report from Wednesday stated:
'Pupils display high levels of engagement, participate confidently in call-and-response activities, and demonstrate a secure recall of previously covered phonemes and graphemes.'
'Clear teacher modelling, logical content delivery, and strong questioning techniques help pupils confidently use and understand precise mathematical terminology. Throughout the session, diagrams and physical apparatus remain tightly aligned with the lesson's learning intentions. Pupils remain exceptionally well-behaved while demonstrating highly positive attitudes toward their learning.'
During the whole school assembly this week, we talked to the children about the nine 'Protected Characteristics' including, race, religion and beliefs. The children had some great discussions and gave examples to share with others.
Have a lovely weekend!
