The Juniors Coastal Adventure
On Monday, our juniors enjoyed a fantastic educational visit to Ilfracombe aquarium & the RNLI.
At the Aquarium they learnt about the local water cycle and discovered what marine life can be found along our nearby beaches. The children were fascinated to learn more about the sea creatures that live in our local waters and how the environment supports them.
Afterwards, the group visited the RNLI, where they learnt about the incredible work the crew do to save lives at sea. The children also took part in an important discussion about water safety and how to stay safe when visiting the beach. One of the highlights of the visit was getting the chance to step inside a Shannon-class lifeboat, where they could see first-hand the equipment used during rescues.
It was a brilliant day filled with learning, exploration, and memorable experiences for everyone involved.
